Kopil shoe exposure meter, battery ?.

I would be grateful to hear of any experiences or for advice on fitting substitute batteries in the Kopil meter.
Does the screw cap have to be punctured for the Wein zinc air cell to work and will the screw cap screw in, if a MR-9 adapter containing a silver oxide cell is inserted?

Could you post pics of the meter? I have been looking at one but decided not to because of the battery issue.

Hello, the type of pile is the 625PX, 1.35V, mercury, on sale. Substitute: Weincell, zinc-air, 1.35V, available on Internet. Without problem one can use Varta V625U, 1.5V, alkaline, available everywhere.

Thanks for the information,
I have tried a Wein cell but get no response so I'll buy a Varta 625, insert it and try and eliminate the problem. If again I get no response then I must suspect the light cell.
