Downunder, Japanese airports are very good about hand checking film if you ask them. No problems at all. On the Australian side, heading out, I've had no issues with hand checks at Sydney's T1 or Brisbane's domestic terminal. I haven't tried any other Australian terminals.

I never hand check any film, and during recent trips with either HP5 or Tri-X had no issues.Yes. I am now seriously planning a visit to Japan, possibly in October this year. Autumn at its finest, for me the best time to travel.
One Rolleiflex T and my remaining stash of B&W films (also a few color rolls) will surely be in my cabin bag. I hope the scanners at Tokyo Airport don't fry all my ancient 120 rolls...

Me either after they changed to newer scanners and it caused hysteria on photography gear forums.

I have said it before. I will happily say it again. There is a book in all this.
OP, all your images are unique, and so beautiful.
Please put me on the list for a first edition copy (ideally #1), signed by the author.

rest assured, you'll be first to get one. Your positive feedback alone makes me want to actually print it, so I'm slowly doing the editing part.I have said it before. I will say it again. There is a book in all this.

Your images are beautiful, and well worth preserving on paper and as a book.
The effort you have put into this thread, and the dedication you have shown in making all your photographs, are I am sure greatly appreciated by many of us. A book would be a fitting tribute to your talent.
Go for it!!
I look forward to sending you the payment for my copy of your book, when it is produced.

Welcome back! It's been a while but finally I managed to put the album together. It's a high quality print-on-demand (HP Indigo) in A4 size vertical, around 40 photos - mostly panoramas and 5 color slides. Bloody expensive at ~50$ per book but now I can say I finished something for once.
If you fancy a copy I can quote a total cost for you depending on location but I feel this could get ridiculous.
