Can you see the device in System Profiler or Disk Utility?
I'd call LaCie support -- there's a chance the drive might have crashed -- but it could also be as something as simple as a loose cable inside the enclosure. Opening it up will probably kill you warranty.
If you don't have any critical data living on the drive, you may be able to take it down to the point of purchase for an exchange.
The power supplies on these hard drives fail often. If you have further trouble, look into that. Mine stopped mounting at one point, but it worked fine after I replaced the power supply.
