Hmmm. I do think it is voyeuristic, and sexist. People on bikes would have been more appropriate, but then I'd personally rather look at women on bikes. :rolleyes:

On the other hand, I wonder how our women members feel about it.

Well, I don't think voyeuristic is the appropiate word on a photo site like this... but a few weeks ago the OP asked advice on how to shoot nudes... and was thinking of hiring an escort, rub her with oil and have her cooking scrambled eggs... It would have been funny if he hadn't been boasting about his mercedes his parents gave him and how sucessful he got with the "gals"...
First I thought he was a joker. And maybe, but just slightly maybe, somehow he still is funny like a bad joke.

Nah... We won't be able to open threads like "police officers on bikes", "dogs on wheels" (nice song, by the way), et al.

As a cyclopedic Dutchman, I'm not really into taking pictures of my bike riding fellow human beings, as it's like photographing a punk with a leather jacket, but I would strongly recommend to start a "wheeling gentlemen" thread.

Let's please not get carried away here folks. The immature comments of one hormonal lad with poor impulse control does not turn a perfectly well mannered photo thread into a voyeuristic one. It's Girls on Bicycles nothing more.

Well observed. I suspect this thread of not being so much voyeuristic but a subversion of the usual direction of RFF. The unwitting victims here are not the girls but us posting the pictures. It has nothing to do with the pictures themselves which are fine and some very good.

No doubt some of you think I am mad. My reaction to the new boy in school suggesting some tease was always to question the rightness of the plan and especially his right to lead it. Many groups have been led astray by the charm of the newcomer. I don't think we are in much danger but vigilance is not inappropriate.

You are MEN, most of you love WOMEN, you really have no choice! Embrace that, it's the best thing ever!

Forget the ever tiresome political correctness, "this thread is turning into voyerism" and acknowledge that you, as a heterosexual man, like to look at pictures of attractive females doing whatever...cooking, child care, bent over a ten speed in a loose blouse, etc.

Really, my pictures of the painted lady on the bicycle were the least sexy pictures in the entire thread. One guy saw a tit and said "oh that makes me uncomfortable" and the joy of looking at Ladies on Bicycles was gone.
