With the camera switched off, press and hold the DISP/BACK button, then turn the camera on. The current firmware version will be displayed.

Indeed, and, for the lazier amongst us, the EXIF "version" field in my pics reads 01300 for my FW 1.30.

Interesting... the EXIF version field on images from my x100 says 0230, yet my firmware is v1.3. Perhaps this number is just coincidence on images from your camera...?:)

Am I that lazy?

I'm not sure that I really understand your response ;):), but I'd be interested to know the purpose of the exif version field - I don't understand what it is for. However, I do know that files from my x100 don't contain the value 01300 in the exif version field. As stated previously, they contain the value 0230, which bears no obvious relationship to the firmware version number i.e. 1.3.

Would you check some of your other x100 files, and let us know if the exif version value is the same in each? Thanks...

FWIW, I just checked files from a pair of X100 bodies and they both had the same "Exif Version" value... 2.3 -and they are both running 1.3 FW. Perhaps Alec is "accidentally" on an earlier FW rev and never realized it?

I still have my fingers crossed that Fuji will release another rev for us non-S folks!

Hmmm... Rumors are afloat that the upgrade may be available tomorrow, the 18th.

As it is already 0500 in Tokyo, it may not be much longer!
