I have some scratches in the LCD glass causing glare in bright sunlight. Any one here know of a way to buff or seal these small scratches?
Thanks....
Steve

You can use the same stuff they use for fixing scratches in mobile phone displays. Just follow the instructions on the label.

Toothpaste-

.3 micron metalurgy polishing compound

Cover with the screen protectors for Palm Pilots. $5 at office supply or MicroCenter.

Got the polish for repairing headlight lenses. Tested on old cell phone screen. still some haze. Ordered some IPod applesauce repair stuff. Will let you know.
I know re the protectors but they always seem to be a little less than clear as well. Would a been better than scartches tho.

After trying several, which weren't as clear as I'd prefer, I came across those by ScreenPatronus - these were crystal clear.
I'm with you on this one - I've had one on for a couple of months, it makes the scratches invisible, and it's still absolutely clear. Amazing!

I agree re ScreenPatronus. I have two RD-1s, one with a scratched LCD cover and one that is as new. I put a ScreenPatronus protector on each of them and now I can't tell them apart (except by the serial number) - they are both crystal clear.
