Leaky brick, part deux

Nope...I've done other rolls with that tank and it's fine.

I've gotten alien orbs and demon possession now as possible answers, too. I'm betting those aren't it either, though. 😀

Check your tank as Peter suggests, but I'm also wondering about the shutter curtains... How _long_ in between shots is there here? Depending on length of time, a couple of pinholes could do this. Especially since a lens cap is a bit of a reach for a brick.

Well THAT'S a relief! Not the developing tank either because of the regular placement of the light leak in the frame. S'got to be the camera shutter.

Use the P, Steph. Don't waste film + developing on stuff that doesn't work. Focus on what you do have that's perfectly good.

Just eliminating stuff.
William's shutter curtain suggestion makes a lot of sense. Did you look through the camera toward a strong light as I suggested in the last thread? That should have eliminated curtain leaks from the list ... unless the curtain gaps only when winding.
Otherwise, I fear it's time to call in the exorcist. 😱

Held up to a bright 100 watt light bulb I'm also getting nothing.
Try seeing if there's a leak during winding.
Next step: Place camera on pile of papers you want kept in one place and use the P. 🙂

This is, seriously, the best suggestion yet. Work those Jupiters and stop worrying about that ... Cintar... 😉

What kind of shutter does that camera have? I hate to ask though, because it is just distracting your focus form the great gear that you do have that does work and that you should be using instead of futzing about with light leak riddled cameras and screwdriver-gouged pin-hole frankencameras! Boy, I'm glad to get that off my chest! 🙂

I love you, too, Frank.

The reason I want to get this working is because I want to sell it to someone, not really because I want to use it. They're worth about $15, but the lens is rather good...it'll make a good rangefinder for somebody.

part of me hates to say it too, but Frank is right. Use that P & the really good lenses you have for it. Make good pictures. Please forget about all these other distractions you keep bringing up.

Why? You're good enough not to need that excess schiess. Just do what you can do and make us want to buy prints. You easily can, if you decide you want to...

It looks like your camera back is leaking. I notice it happens outdoors more than indoors as ambient light light is stronger outside. The reason for the "photon blaster" effects come from advancing the film a bit at a time, where the "laser beam" effect was a smoother continuous advance. Check the hinge or the lock to see if any of the padding has rotted away.

That would be my best guess. Otherwise your house has serious radiation problems and your Argus would be the last thing to worry about.

Fine, then. I shall focus on the projects I want to do before I go to Colorado and then wow you all with my landscape-shooting prowess. Just wish I knew someone who could borrow me a Voigt 25/4 for a week. 😛
