that would be depressing. I standardized on Acros and Tri-X using Diafine with Cal's slackers brew recipe. It's been great results so far and I don't want to have to find a new medium speed film...

My "Slacker's brew" makes shooting lots of film very easy.
On this forum are guys that have been shooting for decades, and in my humble opinion shooting a lot for a long period of time is what gives these guys a sharp edge.
The thing with Acros and Diafine that is unbeatable is the lack of reciprocity failure that makes for outstanding results (perfect negatives) when shooting at night using a tripod and bulb exposures. With Diafine it is a match made in heaven.
Also the grain is almost none. I have to use an 8X lupe to see that the Tri-X grain is slightly larger.
It is at a point where I don't need a large format camera to get large format results on my 6x9 negatives.
All I need is Tri-X and Acros...
