Hi everyone. My name is Len. I found this website this afternoon and thought I'd look into it. I hope I'm in the right forum. My question is I've got the Leica 111c Rangefinder camera which my Mom gave me years ago which my Dad picked up while in Germany during the war. Unfortunately the sharkskin backing is cracked and some areas are missing. Is there a website I can go to that has options on fixing the problem I have with the camera or am I stuck with the issues. I noticed the areas where the sharkskin is missing has the same color backing but not the texture. Should I remove the remaining sharkskin and if I do will that create another issue. Thanks again. Looking forward to some answers and suggestions. Len.

I found this person in England who sells sharkskin-look Vulcanite for Leica cameras:
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/Leica/vulcanite.html
But there are several people that sell replacement vinyl coverings for the Leica that are not such a major project to install. I have used coverings from Morgan at http://www.cameraleather.com/
while many others recommend http://aki-asahi.com/store/
