I have both a Leica and a Minolta CL. I really love them. After a day with my M3, the CL is a nice change. My Nikon F4 weighs more than all three together. When I was my high school's sports photographer, at night games, I used a Crown Graphic 4X5 with a Honeywell Strobinar and battery pack plus a box of film holders so I can appreciate a light camera. That was in 1961, the good old days. Light meters were forbidden in my photography class too.

Hello and welcome to the forum Magnum13.
I'm not too sure why you've posted this thread twice 2 hours apart though. For me, the other one is showing as '5 hours ago' and this one is showing as '3 hours ago'.

I too enjoy my Leica CL. It's a great camera and very very tiny, making it more likely to come with me than my much heavier Leica M6 setup (I have it paired with the CV 35mm F1.2 lens which is quite heavy).
I recently used it at a wedding and it was surprisingly decent. However, all the flaws came out as well (short rangefinder base, etc.) and I'd probably use it as mainly a backup or a specialty rather than my go-to rangefinder, especially as light gets dim and people start moving like crazy. Not to say it's impossible in a wedding scenario but the Leica M6 is much easier to use.
Having a small rangefinder with optics and quality that rival the big SLRs makes my body happy (my shoulders aren't aching as much!).

The CL is one of those cameras that I've lusted after from the moment it was announced.
Haven't purchased one yet, but have loved using them when the opportunity has arisen.
It just screams classic Leica in a modern body.

Just bought one in a set with v3 50 cron, initially i planned on reselling it immediately and just keep the lens, but now I'm intrigued and will shoot a few rolls first to see how we get on.
