Leica Camera

Just went thru a box of items from the attic found a Leica camera S/N 5242 circa 1927 but it has the appearance of a Leica lll. Found out from Leica it was sent back to the factory for an upgrade. Wonder what the value would be for this camera a low S/N but has been upgraded to a new model?

That's a nice looking camera. I'd consider just keeping it, since you spent no money on it. This thread, and Ebay completed sales, will help with the value:
