Well, lads and lasses, after a couple years of Nikon digital heaven, I started shooting film again. I had not touched a rangefinder until November 25 and here are some samples from my first few rolls with my Leica CL and the Summicron 40/2. I am deeply, deeply in love.

The first ten or so images are all the Leica ones. I will post them here as soon as I am able to.

It really is amazing, I am able to get much closer to the vision I have in my head. No photoshop required. I did read up on using the spot meter before firing away, though, which helped greatly.

Cheers,

Jay

Welcome back to the "dark-side" of film-based photography ! (... or was it the bright side ?) # 2 is it for me ! Nice !! Keep posting ! :)

The CL is some nice camera, right ?

Wait a minute...you camera doesn't say I love you back? Mine talks to me, and I talk to it. Sure, people on the subway might not understand. And the wife was a little dubious when told her that my new "girl" was staying in the bed with us. Oh yes, she talks to me. She loves me.

In all seriousness it really is a fine little camera.

More to post in a few minutes, I will put them in my gallery here.
