I need to remove the top cover of a Leitz CL and cannot remember how to do it.

I did it several years ago but forgot the howto..

I remember that it was pretty straight-forward

The threaded cap on the wind lever needs to be removed with a rubber friction tool. The thread might be left-hand threaded. The cover plate on the accessory shoe needs to come off; pry it off with a toothpick and it exposes screws. That might be about it. I can't remember what attaches the left end of the cover; maybe a screw that is inside the film chamber.

I remember that the wind lever came off and you had to remove a screw but the plastic cover on the accy shoe doesn't seem to want to come off.

If I recall the other end was held in place by the strap lug. It simply slipped over the lug.

I checked Tomosy's book

The hot shoe doesn't come off.
The ring around the shutter release has to come off.
Then the top tilts to clear the right edge, and the left side is held by the strap lug.
