Anyone ever use a Jupiter 8 lens on a Leica CL? I know it needs an adapter, but any problems? Thanks

I've done and not noticed any particular problem. Note that wide open, your results with close focus may vary, depending on a variety of factors. To wit, CL does not have the longest rangefinder base length for accuracy; opinions differ on lens register for which FSU lenses were designed; and individual copies of the lens can vary (esp if 'maintained' or 'fixed' poorly).
But at moderate apertures and decent distances, I've had completely acceptable results (I haven't rigorously tested at close focus). If you use the right adapter, the right framelines should be on. It makes a nice compact and good-looking combo, especially with a nice hood. Of course, the 40mm lens designed for the CL is even smaller.

my g/f does, no problems so far.
I've used my custom-shimmed J-3 with mine. No problems, but the lens was adjusted for close-up/wide-open performance.

My J-8 (shimmed by Brian Sweeney) works beautifully on my CL. I have found that it has enough depth of field to be sharp at 1 meter and at infinity at f:2.0. Really a lovely lens and very light. Get one of the early ones with a focusing tab.

I liked the J-3 on mine. I think a J-8 would be more appropriate as the rf base is a bit short for f/1.5.

No problems with the J8 on my CL. Works fine.

I use a later Black J8 with White lettering, I'm going to try to get a much earlier J8 with a focusing tab though. My results vary, i've been between Industar-61 and J8, all to keep me occupied waiting for that Summicron-C!

I thing that work well. I use, on my Leica CL, the Jupiter 9 85/2 LTM.
Ciao.
