Hi Folks,

Just spotted a Leica CM on ebay. I know nothing about these cameras but it looks to be a good size and the viewfinder looks fairly big and well positioned.

Does anybody have any experience/knowledge of the CM is it a good camera or just a Leica badged toy?

Thanks!

Bob.

Hi

I tried one out in the Leica shop in London, but found it too expensive for the small size of the viewfinder. Got a Rollei afm35 instead on ebay for 200 euro.

Stephen

Interesting what you say about the viewfinder. I really prefer cameras with large finders, positioned at the corner of the body.

I'm hoping that CM prices are nice and low as film P&S cameras seem to be totally unwanted by the general public these days.

Hi,

I have one and also used the Minlux until it got the er02 error.
The CM is an improved Minilux. Topspeed is higher, autofocus is improved, the vf is much bigger and has info in it, it is smaller and very important, it can use external flash.
The lens is the same although the coating on the CM is said to be improved.
It is a great little camera but stil quit expensive. I got a very good deal on it so I can't complain.

Cheers,

Michiel Fokkema
