dear folks,
has anyone here tried Leica collapsible lens on Canon RF bodies with success?
i am concerned about the clearance at the lens rear which might hit the flange of the body, and also the focus accuracy/ film register issues...
i am thinking in mind in particular using a Leica 50 Summitar or Summicron F2 Collapsible on Canon L-1
thanks for your viewing and i am looking forward to your input!

The Leica lens should be fine on the Canon body. Some of the early Canon normal lenses were collapsible, too.

There is certainly no focus accuracy/ film register issue with this combo. Whether the collapsed lens physically touches a light baffle in the camera is another question.
The only problem that I had that was unexpected was using an Industar 22 (Elmar 5cm F3.5 Copy)on the Canon 7. The back of the Infinity Lock Button hits the outer bayonet flange. It did not have a problem on the L1.

I've used a Summicron on a Canon bottom loader (IVS?) with perfect results-except I liked the Nikkor 50/2 better.

Elmar, Summar, & Summitar no problem on IIF or IV-Sb2. But these bodies don't have the extra baffles. The part that sticks into the camera is the same size on all three, but each in turn goes less far into the body.
