Leica LTM Leica Compur Rim-Set Shutter Model on ebay

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
That would be a bargain price for a collectible grade near-mint one, fair for a good one, but a very high price for a ratty one (collectiblend lists the last B- sales at around $2700). The images don't tell anything about the condition, and the seller seems to feign innocence - "my fathers, which I don't know anything about" does not match up the starting bid, nor the fairly large amount of disjunct ratty photo equipment he sold in the past, with very accurate descriptions wherever these were to his advantage.

Agreed re: Christmas and the opening bid. But wait and the price might just halve. I've offered half now and then and got stuff, rather than stuffed... ;-)

Regards, David

I love this type of people - write they don't know much about cameras, but sell only photographic stuff and walk through all necessary points to describe a camera.
the laughter is the description of B and T shutter speed!

Why shut I spend a dime on a camera to someone who tries to fool you?

camera is suspicious. Not only that the top plate looks like having new paint, low fotos quality does not allow me to determine if engravings are filled with Wismuth or white paint, Vulkanit has a structure of later cameras. The main point however is lens mount - this is from IA. If anyone interested how the mount for rim set should look like, Westlicht Camera Auction Nr 15 shows SN21786.
Impact of having IA mount for Compur lens may be wrong focusing. While Compur mount travels forward approx 2,35mm from infinity to 1m the IA mount travels aprox 3,1mm
