Leica Demo Days

There is a Leica Demo Day tomorrow at my local photo shop here in Portland, OR. A Leica rep will be there. I was thinking about heading down to the shop but was wondering what to expect. Is it worth attending one of these? Do they sell both Leica cameras and lenses at these events?

Would appreciate hearing from others whether they found it worth their time to attend.

Normally, all the Leica camera -and binocular- ranges of bodies, lenses and many accessories are available to see, handle and ask advice on. It has always proved a worthwhile experience for me, even if the emphasis (however mildly) is on generating sales.

I'd also be interested in finding out if Leica offered any discounts if an item was purchased at the Demo Days. By discount, I mean less than full retail price. Or am I dreaming? 🙂
