For $9k, you can have a M9 that finally competes at high ISO with every full-frame DSLR from the last five years!

For that money I'll sell all my gear and get a MF digital system... and an X100 :bang:

Interesting, iso 320 as base iso. What's the technical reason for that?

The sensitivity to light is twice that of the M9 with a colour filter array - i.e. the sensor wells fill up faster because there is no filter absorbing light.

Got to be wrong. Last time I looked the 50 lux - really great ASPH lens - was $4000!

increased sensitivity from not having a color filter sitting in front of the sensor eating up light, most likely.

I'll take my M3, my trusty Zeiss Planar, and a roll of Tmax 100. Amazing -- I just saved myself $14,000!

And in the blink of an eye digital B&W just became superior to analog B&W (only if you have the M9-M of course).
Also Nik probably just released a new version that loads monochrome files but it probably only works with the M9-M.

It looks like it's iso 32 not 320 as the base isoincreased sensitivity from not having a color filter sitting in front of the sensor eating up light, most likely.
Edit: Just translated the german into english and it's saying "The result is the exact reproduction of popular films from ISO 32 to ISO 3200"
My mistake
