Finally found some 19mm Leitz filters that I can use on my Elmar 50/3.5 without having to take them off when changing the aperture setting.

Filter (Firhe) and hood (VALOO) combination:

Without the hood:

I'm so jealous!! If you find any more of those, let me know. I'd love to have at least a yellow to mount on my Elmar.

Great photos. I wondered what I had just bought along with my Leica IIf - now I know its a VALOO. I guess I need a FIORE now! (19mm UV filter)

That really is a good looking camera! I'm sorry I was too late on the green filter. I put an ad in the WTB section in the off chance somone has a 19mm screw in filter they would like to sell.
BTW, does the hood interfere with changing the aperture settings?
Again-very nice looking!

Walz also makes the 19mm filters. I found a set on ebay a while back. Only the red and yellow are in my possession--not sure what the other color was.

cheaper one, but I ve already got a British copy

Hi,

Something you said about having a copy reminded me: I hope you won't think it's rude as I may be pointing out the obvious.

Anyway, often when looking for Leitz/Leica stuff I find Argus, Nebro and so on but in ebay as "Leitz" or "Leica" because people don't realise it isn't Leitz/Leica. So I go looking for Argus, Walz and Nebro stuff in the hope that I'll find Leitz! It works now and then and often the other stuff is OK and cheap.

For example, if you do a search on "Leica C3" you'll find their nice P&S camera and a lot of Argus and other filters mixed up with the camera items on ebay. OK they're not Leitz but usually the Argus or Nebro stuff is cheap and works but it isn't for display. On the other hand, the last thing I want to do is take the display stuff with me when I go for a walk, just in case it rains and I drop it in the mud.

Regards, David
