Can anybody offer any explanation for the attached light leaks apart from pinholes in the shutter? The odd thing is, it’s been back to the camera hospital twice, including, reportedly, new blinds. I plan to start on a rigorous program of experimentation to trace the problem, but any suggestions would be helpful.

If "these" blinds were replaced, they were not on this camera..

I don't see how they could be anything but holes in the curtain. I think I would expose the camera to light without firing the shutter; then take it in the darkroom (or put the lens cap on) to fire the shutter and wind the film; and expose to light again. And then put the lens cap back on before winding. That ought to show whether it is the first or second curtain, or something else entirely.

another cause is reflection from the pressure plate but that's unlikely in this case

Look like pinholes in the curtain to me.
I have a IIIf black-dial from 1951 that has the same issue.
