Leica IIIf RD flash sync

I have always used my IIIf RD camera with electronic flash at 1/25th with the sync dial set to 0 but was told it will work with electronic flash at 1/50th with the sync dial set to 20.

Anybody know if this is true??

Colyn, your info is correct, the synch dial needs to be set to "20" when using 1/50th of a second.

I would keep using 1/25th of second or slower and "0" to bring out more of the ambient light.

The slower flash sync does give a more natural look to my indoor flash photos.
