which begs a further question:

Is the brassing identical on each camera? If so, is it being brassed by computerised equipment?

If they are as near identical as dammit, I can't imagine any other way of doing it.

Pretty much my thoughts, too. Though I have to admire Leica's ever ingenious ways of keeping its bottom line ticking over. Good luck them in this regard.

I've never 'got' artificial brassing. My M6 TTL black paint and 35mm Summicron lens are brassed because I use them; over the years they have acquired a history with me that I can relate to and that 'says' something in a visual form about my time with them.

But hey... each to their own.

Merely notice that people like worn cameras and that they sell ,often for more than you would expect ...so lets make one.
I`m surprised that they didn`t distress the vulcanite.

This edition seems to have attracted much more flak than any of the others.

No, they appear to vary. So I suppose the T production is down and they had to keep the metal-rubbers gainfully employed.😉

I don't listen to his music but even I can think of a few of his songs.

You may find this hard to believe but it is actually quite possible to remain in touch with what most people regard as reality without listening to pop music and even (you may need to sit down for this one) without living in the United States.

Until his special edition camera became plastered over the media, I also hadn't heard of Mr Kravitz or his work... but then my lack of knowledge of things 'Kravitz' can perhaps be put down to the fact that I live near London, on a backwater island sited off the continent of Europe.

I really must get out more. 😀
