I use a rubber o ring. Drop super glue at 12, 3, 6 & 9. The set the o ring on. Lokks great and costs about 2cents.

The plastic donut is quite good and does not scratch eyeglass lenses.

Ditto. I bought DAG's plastic ring & it works fine (very secure on my KS-15(4), too).

Cheap and work very well, but do sometimes fall off. Then you put the next one.

Yes, once they are on, you have to crack them to get them off. They will go back on after they're cracked, and they will stay on, but the fit isn't as tight (obviously).
