Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Any idea what's that pattern on the image, primarily visible from the left edge and appearing to radiate out from the central woman?

I've been noticing some odd patterns showing up on some m246 files, but so far only when I export them as jpeg to edit in silver efex.

I did encounter these before on high-iso shots on my 28 Cron. The trick was to turn-off/disable the lens profile correction under LR.

Love this One... the play of Light...Beautiful

Thank you

I have the same experience lately not only under high ISO with MM but also OverExposure with M9. I processed in SilverEfex for MM and Color Efex for M9.
Anyone know why and how to overcome this ?

Thanks Jan,

-0.7 stop on M9 or MM ?
Unless you're shooting manually, or at high iso on M9 I would this on both. It's much nicer to push 0.7 to 1.5 eV in lightroom than to loose all detail in the burnt out sky. Mono is harder to recover highlights.from as there isn't a blue channel to help.

Did not get to go out as much this weekend but finally got one that I am satisfied.

I am still struggling with ourdoor/landscape when dynamic range is wide. Will keep working on. I see the shots here are wonderful and know what the camera can do... Need to hone my skill which is obviously behind the pictures posted on this thread.

Put the ole MM to some use today, first real outing after the sensor replacement. Can't put my finger on it but is seems a little different from the old one. I think the highlights do not blow that easily as before but then I don't have any before and after shots to compare.
