Isn't it sad that obviously nothing much of rebuilding has happened since Aug.2013? How much aid has been donated from all over the world. How much does a basic house cost and many have been repaired/rebuilt ? No matter which country it seems, after a catastrophe it takes at least 10 years for nature to grow back and it seems it is not going any faster with the human infrastructure. Pictures from New Orleans in some areas still look like the devastation happened just a few weeks ago not 9 years ago.
I have a co-worker who's from the Philippines, that's why I can relate especially to your pictures. Luckily no one from his family was hurt or killed.

Sad but true. Despite the tremendous amount of aid coming in... the slow recovery is attributed further to politics and corruption.
