Ah well, some folks using their equipement and not complaining🙄.
Indeed when a camera needs repair and you can't use it, that sucks. Hope it gets fixed soon, Dave. And thanks for the comments.

Here something different, just fooling around with some movement :

Thanks Klaus and they do get some snow in the northern part of NM. Taos and Santa Fe have ski resorts with Taos being really tough from what a non-skier understands. We got into Santa Fe on Christmas Day and we got 2 inches that night and they got a lot more, as you can see, up near Taos.

And yes I did check to make sure I wasn't blowing the highlights. Red filter also for the sky.

I really like the concert image of your that Dave pointed out.

Where did you all go in Northern NM? Was it for a vacation?

I'm going back out next month for 10 days....another 'wander'.

R&R (Vacation) and shooting. We got into Santa Fe on Christmas day and that night we got almost 2 inches of snow. Santa Fe is so beautiful with snow. We stayed in Santa Fe for 10 days and didn't wander much. Just up to Taos and a little around Santa Fe and Albuquerque, Madrid. I love it there, Taos especially.

Vince where are you planing on staying and getting to?

Nice Images!

I just came back from Christmas week in Taos and a couple of days in Santa Fe.
My grandmother was born in Santa Fe and my grandfather on native land in southern New Mexico, and NM has a special meaning for me and my family.
I prefer the small town and rugged feel of Taos. The light is amazing, the sky endless and the landscape beautiful.
Both places have great food, especially if you like the northern New Mexican red and green chili. The locals will have both on the same plate by asking for 'Christmas' , as in 'make it Christmas'. The Georgia OKeefe museum in Santa Fe is great, and make a pilgrimage to Dennis Hopper's grave in Taos, if that is of interest to you. Its not easy to find and hiding in plain sight, however there is a youtube video of how to get there.
I highly recommend a day at the Ojo Caliente hot springs between Espanola and Taos, and be sure to go on a hike above the springs to see the remnants of an old native pueblo, where the ground is littered with hundreds of pottery chards. Don't touch them; this is Federal land and more importantly, you will disturb the spirits!
