Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Vince, how's the M246 doing? How do you compare it with the ol' MM in terms of post-processing? I can see your first shot has some reach tonality, I don't know if it's courtesy of the new MM DNG?

It's working out pretty well, and I'm preferring the 246 to the 'old' Monochrom (the handling, the sound, the Live View etc). Files-wise, I think there is more info in the shadows and certainly in the highlights, so I think it provides a better 'base' from which to work. Files can be really clean (sometimes almost too clean) at base ISO, but here again, I look at it as a better point of departure.

Good stuff Klaus. Just back from a commercial shoot in the Big Easy. Got in on Wed afternoon and got out on the streets a bit Wed night. Shoot Thursday and got out again on the streets though dog tired from the full day shoot and flew back home today. Heres some stuff from the Big Easy.
