Really like that last shot John - great timing and perspective, good use of light and dark areas.
Thanks, Vince. A lucky whim shot while out intending to shoot something completely different.

Tom, I'm not seeing your photo. - John
Thanks John.. fixed I think.
That's really wonderful, Tom, both content and processing.
I also use a 50 Planar, but I like your softer rendering more than what I usually end up with. Maybe it's the sensor difference, or this particular instance of lighting, but you have me wondering if I might be over-processing.

A new addition to my ongoing "Alone in the City" series.
Thanks again, John. It was shot at 5000iso and cropped down by a bit more than 50%. AND I probably missed the focus a tad. I keep thinking I would like to try a modern Leica 50mm, but I just seem to really like the Planar. And off course I have a kid who just graduated from college and another heading there soon..
Here's the reason for my haitus. Also my MM had to have its corroded sensor replaced.
Good stuff John. I really liked the series Alone in the City
My MM just came back from Leica. Thought for sure I was having sensor issues but I guess it just needed a good cleaning. So they cleaned and adjusted without a sensor replace at NO CHARGE....

Thanks, Allen. It's been a ongoing project. I like the notion of us little people alone among large urban structures.
I'm sort of hoping my MM shows corrosion and gets the upgrade. I'd love to get it over with. This service and CCD availability can't last forever.
I get a lot of spots with white rings but they always clean off. I asked Dan Tamarkin to have a look recently and he saw no evidence of corrosion. But I'm planning to send mine to Leica for inspection this winter. Just don't want to part with it in prime shooting time.
How long did your round trip take?
