Leica M Monochrom: best pics

Klaus, thanks so much for your comment.

Thankfully, my family escaped the Tykocin Pogrom as they emigrated to the US prior to WWII. I may have had one family member go through Auschwitz, but as the story goes, he escaped thanks to a bribe of a diamond from his wife's engagement ring. Though I've never been able to verify that story.

Regardless, it was a very moving trip for me. There were certain areas we visited I most certainly could not bring a camera to my eye.

As to relevancy, one reason I feel compelled to travel, especially on trips like this one, is to search for perspective. Returning home from a trip I'm always humbled by how fortunate and blessed we are and how things that are seemingly so important and can cause so much drama, are just insignificance.

I'm not a music photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but my wife and I went to a house party last night, and there was a great jazz quintet there playing.

What are you guys using these days for b+w software? I'm going to have to move from Silver Efex Pro 2, as I just updated my OS and it no longer works. Has anyone tried Tonality? I'm hoping to find something that is at least as good as SEP2.

Still very satisfied with LR and Silver Efex. I recently went to Windows 10 and lost a few LR plug-ins, but Silver Efex is fine.

I can't imagine that product will move forward at all now, so I am also interested in other options.

Our Superheroes, for the next 2016 Amsterdam Marathon?
The guys just stepped of their bicycles beneath this billboard to go to their gym accross the street. Amsterdam, Stadhouderskade.

I use LR4.2 64bit under Windows7 pro and I do very little processing. I played around with SFX early on and didn't really like it. I have downloaded LR6 for processing the Q files and for whatever reason I like the 4.2 version better. Maybe it's just being used to something. In general I hate when they change things around just for sake of making it look different for the new version and the usability doesn't get improve a single iota or it gets even worse. Just my grumpy $0.02😉
