Thanks David, got lucky with really calm water with storm clouds moving in.
Nice set of images - this one works great in my opinion.
A couple more recent shots.

Little bit of good news last night -- My entry to the Leica Store DC's 2017 National Juried Exhibition, 'From Dusk till Dawn' was awarded 1st Place by the jurors! Quite a surprise indeed, as I generally don't take too many photos 'from dusk till dawn'. There was the only photo that I could think of in my archives (you were allowed up to 3 entries for the submission fee), and it was chosen as the best shot in the exhibition. The other interesting thing is that the Leica Store removed the middle wall from their exhibition space last year, so they only had 14 pictures in the show. I'd be interested to know how many submissions they got!
Another surprise was the award -- a Leica Sofort!

Congratulations!
Your B/W work is outstanding.
Subject, framing and pure beauty.
I love Film but you give a pause for thought.

Many thanks! I try the best I can
Interestingly, last night someone mentioned to me the Orson Welles movie, The Third Man, and how he thought my photo was lifted right out of that movie. I did a quick Google search on some images from that movie - very eerie similarities!

Many thanks guys - the thing that I thought was funny (to me anyway) was that after I submitted my photo, someone from the store sent me a note reminding me that I could submit up to 3 photos for the submission fee. I replied that this was the only 'from dusk till dawn' photo that I had (I have since found a second one), so this one photo was it. Guess the blind squirrel does get an acorn every once in a while!
The annual exhibition usually gets reviewed by an area art critic for the Washington City Paper - I'll be interested to read what he has to say about this year's offerings.

It must be a srew that screws the coding system up. (I was the lucky owner of the Elmarit 90 first version with a screw in the wrong place).

I think you might be right. Its odd that I never noticed it until recently when I was trying to figure out when I managed to get a Wide Angle 90mm lense
