Dealer offered to sell a "code Q" to me. Told it was a Leica display model and come with full warranty but is $1,000 less than list. Questions:
Anyone hear of the code Q?
Does it come with full warranty?
Is it a refurb?
Advice?
All replays appreciated.

Q is indistinguishable from new. That said, you are overpaying for a camera launched in 2012. Now, the RealLeicaMan (see Ken Rockwell's definition) never buys anything other than a brand new Leica, never touched by human hands, AND then leaves a tip.
Since you seem to care about price, why not just go with a nice used camera, that's got warranty left? You'd probably get an M-P for $4,500 or less. Paid $5,000 for mine last year, nearly full warranty, still looks brand new.

I bought an M240 in this 'category' back at the beginning of 2014 and it has worked as well as can be expected.
I agree with the previous poster, given the current point in the product cycle of the M240 generation, I would shop around unless you really want new and full warranty. Also see if the dealer is flexible with the price.
One sold recently, used, on FM for $4900...
