my friend, I'm not trying to be cryptic, but I give you a puzzle to be solve..
i have no benefit in keeping the answer, I'd gladly share the answer for those who ask directly and not getting a profit for my search.
I believe with the clue I left, if you really interested in making your leica as titanium shutter version, you can finally dig the answer up.
I have no official background in repairing leica other than trying to cla my IIf myself, reading service manuals available online, then move up to my IIIC-T project, then CLA my M2, then got this M3 for M3-T project. I can say, this is done in a month or two, so my knowledge is limited to what I can learn either from manuals and direct observation.
I believe if you have your M3/M2 in front of you with titanium shutter attached, you'll come to the same problem and get my hidden clue.
yes, I made a mistake in my first conclusion :bang: (this is another CLUE my friend ! ) as I just learn the mechanism in my IIIC and there is a difference compare to M2/M3 which I forgot at that time, later on that difference is the one to solve the problem (is this another clue ?).
forgive me but I really enjoying this puzzle I share to you.
I can say that it is possible, I had mine now, and it sound quieter than my M2 (with original curtain) even just after CLA.
so, grab a junk nikon F/F2, take the shutter out and make yourself your Leica-T version !!

You continue to astonish me with your technical genius... I'm really looking forward to seeing the results and the solution you came up with to solve your problem!
How DID you make it work? I don't have enough experience with cameras (i'm always afraid to tinker with things) to see how you did it

About 3 weeks ago I received a Canon 7 that has a Titaniam shutter as the seller said. I don't know how it got it but I can say the camera is great. I had another Canon 7 with a wrinkled shutter and this new one is great and straight. It came from Japan and I would love to know who is doing this job?
