Erik, another idea, if you can get it cheap enough, put it in a nice fresh-water fish tank. It'll be the coolest fish tank ornament ever... and it goes with the story 😉

oooh I like the snow globe idea! The water won't matter in this case! instead of "snow" you could to little pieces of film or something!

Wow, it went for $115 + $50 p+p. It appears to be likely to come here in the Netherlands (and no I didn't bid on it!).

I suppose someone must have a very empty fish-tank, although it might actually be worth more than that if even only a third of the parts can be salvaged . . . .
