Leica M3. Zeiss Hologon 16/8

You don't have RF focusing as you don't need it due to the great depth of field. Minimum focus distance 0.2m.

Here are some additional images taken with the Hologon.

Great series Raid, you should really bring this camera, lens, film in your next trip 🙂

Thank you Robert.
I am thinking of bringing with me M3 with 16mm Hologon, plus M9 with pre-asph Lux 35/1.4. I may throw also in a tiny E-PL1 with a small 50mm lens as my tele.

Great shots!!, it's a lens of extreme - in contrast, sharpness, color saturation, even in minimum focusing distance. I love all the results, Raid.

Thank you very much Toreno. I am getting used to this lens on the M3. It can be used like a P&S camera, and the only point to remember is getting very close to the main subject of interest. I am thrilled at the resulting sharpness and colors and overall rendition.

It costs around $1500 for a very clean lens, plus $500 for DAG to change the mount to M. The lens that I bought looked new to me. It was a demo, I think.
