Leica M3. Zeiss Hologon 16/8

I picked up a developed roll of film I shot using Hologon on M4. Everything looks very sharp using loupe. Can’t wait to scan it. I will post results.

There is a line across each image here. Is it due to the scanning or did the M3 cause it?

Did you ever figure out the root cause of that line? My M3 does the same thing, it leaves a line across every single roll of (color) film I shoot through it in the same exact spot, visible on the negatives. I have thoroughly checked the interior and cannot find anywhere it could be "dragging", and no sharp spots on the back plate.

If it is one the negative it should be visible. Take any 50mm RF lens, reverse it and look at the negative through it.

If line is horizontal polishing with dremel and wool head with fine polishing paste will fix it.
