Shab great shots. Looks like you're getting the hang of the m5 and also taking it out more.

Have to Agree ...
Xavier, you have turned my head
Make me want to purchase the 35 Ultron M
Your photos are just soooo Good, quite Special with the Ultron !
Just looked up the specs , close focus too 0.5, yum !
Thank you very much Helen!
When I bought the M5 I wanted a good 35mm. Some years ago I used a Biogon 2.0 35mm... it was a great lens. But now there was the new Ultron. I was looking at the photos people was taking with this lens and finally I bought one. At first, when I had it for the first time, I thought it was a bit big, but when I put it in the M5 everything was FINE.
I like a lot to shot between 1.7 and 2.8.

One more with the M5 and the Ultron:
HP5 Plus [shot at 1600ASA] + Orange filter + HC110
The last days I have been trying two different films to shot around 1600ASA: Delta3200 and HP5 Plus.

This is a neat visual explanation. I agree, the M5 meter is fantastic.
I was making up a mockup of how I use the meter in my M5. It can be a little confusing at first when people first see the M5 meter but I believe its one of the best meters out there. But I use this method to judge my exposure using the zone system, or if Im lazy I'll meter off of dry sidewalk.

Reading about the M5 makes me enjoy this camera even more. A year ago I was on the brink of selling it but I did not get the right price for it. So now I am keeping it and keep enjoying it. Keep the stories and the photos coming.

These are so good!! Which of your shots is at f1.7? Is it good enough to use wide open?

Huss, Roland and Roel: Thank you very much!
Roel: the first two shots were F1.7 or very near to it. I like to shot with the Ultron wide open.

So, I've been on the lookout for a good original M5 for a while, partly as a response to this thread but also as the camera has intrigued me for a long time. Most of the examples that I looked at seemed to have had their finders changed for the M4-P/M6 type finder with all those framelines which was a no go for me as I wanted an original M5 finder. I think I looked at six that had the later finder! Why would this be? Are M5 finders prone to deteriorate?! Anyway, so far I'm hooked on it! It's such a quick and intuitive camera to use...
