I know a lot experience that the 1s shutter speed getting slow, but I'm starting to wonder if I have the opposite problem. When I tried the 1 second shutter speed, and watch the curtain - it sure doesn't look like it's open for 1 second. But when I flick through the shutter speed, I can hear that it is slower than the other speeds.

If this makes any sense - can the slow shutter speed actually be "too fast"? 😕

It's not unusual for 1 second to run a tad fast since the toleance on a merchanically timed shutter can be about 20%, even on a Leica. Mine tends to run at about 875-900 milliseconds. An M7 will give you far better accuracy with it's electronically timed speeds.
