Leica M6 1 second sound like this?

hi!

i think that the 1 second sound of my m6 isn't sounding right...

could you guys check?

if it's off, should i take it a CLA?

it's one of the first editions from 1988, with only "M6" on the front, in chrome.

i also think that i am going to sell it, how much should i ask for it, it's almost 8/10 as for how it looks, comes with the original case and the strap with case.

would 1400 usd be too much?

Yes, that sound is normal. It's part of the Leica charm. I bought my M6 from the States on eBay for $1100.

What a beautiful sound! Yes, that sounds spot on. The rattle that you are hearing after the 1 sec. shutter is the "escapement" running down as it will from 1 sec. up to about 1/15. That is a very smooth shutter, actually. I wish my M3 was that smooth.
