Leica M6 - light behaviour

Hi, is it normal that when you half-press the shutter on Leica M6 that both arrows very briefly light up before the light meter shows under- or overexposure? I don’t remember it doing it. Maybe I just din’t notice it before.

everyone's camera here is broken.

(I have this kind of behaviour on pretty much every film camera with built in light meter, no matter the mfg)
