Leica M7 in Hanoi

As well as my Leica M8 and Mamiya 6 I took my Leica M7 with me to Hanoi. Only shot 4 rolls of 35mm Kodak Portra 400, and have just scanned the first film. Here is one shot.

I must agree! These shots are very nice. The film/lens combination (and our high level of skill) really make these special.

I use the M7 mostly with AE when street shooting - it is one of the reasons I now prefer it to the M6 (my previous favourite 35mm camera, which I still love of course). I am sure this one was on AE.

That particular pre-asph 50 is very sweet indeed, and it is becoming one of my favourite lenses in the M8.2 as well now. It works well on this M7 as it has a .85 viewfinder making it perfect for 50mm photography.
