Where'd my Bessa go?
I was bored to tears this afternoon so I whipped out my portable studio and did this series of shots. Been wanting to photograph my Leica bodies for a while but was too lazy getting around to it. Enjoy...

Wow! That's one good looking camera!
Nice pic's too, but you seem to have a really huge fingerprint on the VF window.
Edit: Saw your comment now... :bang:

Trouble with close up shots is that sometimes it shows a lot of details which are not apparent to the naked eye. Was too lazy to reshoot it after discover the prints when I opened up the file to edit. Supposed I could've cloned it out but it would've been easier to just reshoot.
Thanks to the couple of folks who emailed me asking for higher resolution files for use as wallpapers. I'll be starting up my site in a few weeks where I'll be selling such images for a small fee so I'm afraid I can't oblige to such requests for the time being. Appreciate your kind comments though. I'll be shooting a series of other cameras in the near future for inclusion into my site. I'm hoping to feature rare and collectible models.

Yes, very nice shots. I should have done something similar with my black paint one. I got it used (but mint condition) a month or so ago. Too late now. I've been using it so much it's already starting to brass on some edges, the rewind knob and the film advance lever. Oh well. I bought it as my "last Leica" and decided it was not a museum piece but a tool so I tell myself those new markings are badges of use!

Actually, I've been getting some requests to do close ups of Leicas in user condition. I did something similar with my used F-1N which had slight brassing and some folks seemed to like it. I think with the closeups, the unusual views is what gets your attention. Gear in mint condition would be preferable but I'm not opposed to shooting gear in user condition. I'll be featuring my beat up M5 in a few weeks. My user M4-2 will follow shortly.

How do you like the Zeiss lens? Can you compare it top the 50mm Summicron?

Could you get a shot of the gap behind the eyepiece where the dust gets in? I meant to take a macro shot of mine before I sold it but I forgot.

sgy1962, I love the Zeiss 35, it's pretty much my most used lens these days. Small, light, sharp, contrasty... everything I could ever want. Haven't used the 50 cron before so I can't really comment.
Ben Z, sorry but I don't have the MP anymore
Why do you need a shot of that area?

Because I still get e-mails from people asking me to send them instructions for how I sealed mine, and some people don't know where to look for the gap.
