it's just hide and seek
On saturday I went to see the World Press Photo show in Hamburg, Germany. On my way back at the promenade along the harbor I saw a photo group. One guy sported a Leica M7 with a swing filter in front of the lens.

Went to a civil war reenactment Saturday, tons of digi, not one film camera.
Mostly cheap digis too.
One clown wanted to know how many mega pixes my D700 had. I said sensor size was more important and I don`t know how many MP, and I don`t. It just works.
All is not gloom. I replaced the foam seals with yarn and felt on my Nikkormat FT N, F2, and FE2. I load brass cassettes for the Leicas.
I just wanted auto focus and quick color for the civil war.

Out and about I never see another rangefinder. EVER. However if I'm visiting a fancy prep school like Philips Exeter old men will want to talk to me about my Leica. I then have to say 'Oh no its a Voigtlander."
