I justed picked up a second version (the one with the viewfinder). It's a fun camera however I need much more practice. These are from my first roll. about 1/3 were ruined because I forgot something. I used XP2. Costco did a cheap processing job, I scanned with my Plustek.
Wide open F3.5 1/20 night time through the windshield of my truck.

About 10 am very bright sun, in fact I knew it was overexposed since I had 400 ISO film. F12, 1/500

Both shots do show the quality of the lens. If the photographer was better they would look good. I shot another roll yesterday of ISO 100 Ilford Delta. I think I did better maybe only ruining 1/4 of the film.
Cheers!
Jim

Great results, Jim.
Problem for me would be choosing between version 1 (unusable viewfinder) and version 2 (ugly picture of Barnack on the back).
However, this Model 0 is better than the original from 1923!
Erik.

Well-known
I had the first model with the flip on viewfinder. I installed a small 50mm VC viefinder in the socket and it was pretty nice.
However at the end I prefered using a screwmount, either my IIF, IIIC or IIIF.
I traded the O-series with a Nikon S3 new kit.

These are from my second roll in the camera. I have to be more careful to put the lens plug in. Also the lens is prone to flare and in Arizona with our sun I need to be more selective of my shots. Both shots are within an hour of each other 8:00 AM. Efke 100 film (which I've never used so it may be part of the issue).

Hi,
Does anyone know what lens hood Dunk is using with the Leica O series film camera shown at the top of this page?
Thank you.

You mean this one?
It is a FIKUS, a "variable hood", usable for lenses from 50mm to 135mm. In general it is not very good because it is top heavy and falls easily from your lens.
It is better to use a FISON, a small shade for 50mm lenses. Will fit too.
Erik.
