Leica R lenses and strobes

Umm.. This is a rangefinder forum, and R lenses don't fit on rangefinders. You might get a better answer -or indeed an answer at all- on one of the other forums: LUF, FM, DP, etc...

Well this is good to know, there are adapters available for M5 - M9.

Michiel I checked out your images and you have a very nice collection of work. Can you send me a PM with a link to the photo shot with Leica R & strobe's?

I'm in the market for a portrait R lens. Thanks ~vm~

Sorry, I don't have them online.
You better try on the Leica forum.

I'm sure they will recommend the 80/1.4. personal I use a 90/2.0.
the 90/2.0 asph is nice too but very expensive and probably too sharp for portraits. The 90/2.8 is a very nice lens too but also too sharp for portraits.

Best regards,

Michiel Fokkema

Older R lenses are similar to M lenses of the period, the later designs are outstanding, 28 2.8 100 2.8 280 2.8 and 4.0 180 2.8 90 2.0

People are putting these on digi slr Nikons and are shocked.

I would not buy them for Nikon use, but I know people who have. The Zeiss line is a better value, but 85 is the longest offering.

Next week Friday I'll shoot some pack shots with the 60 on a 5d using strobes.
Also some children fashion but for that I need something faster then stop down aperture. But who knows, the 90 summi might do fine.

Cheers,
Michiel Fokkema
