Leica R4 shutter speed issue

Hi,
recently I purchased an R4 off ebay which works flawlessly except one problem:
when the shutter speed is at 1/15th the shutter stays open like a timed mode until it is changed. All other functions work flawlessly.

I am looking to fix it myself but I have no idea where to start, does anyone have any advice that can help?

Seconded: send back and buy another one. They are cheap and plenty.

Isn't the R4 which had the faulty electronics? Try getting the R4s which is more reliable.

Early R4 had an non-repairable issues and even Leica couldn't fix them a year or two after being sold. I gave up on the R series and went back to the SL2. If I was to buy another R it would be at least an R5 or R6.

There is a reason why they are so cheap
