Leica SF 20 Flash with R-D1

Is this combination safe (voltage wise)? I have them, and I wanted to try the SF 20 as a fill flash.

don't know if it's safe to use the sf 20, but I have been using it with the r-d1 for over a year, works fine.

It was your message that got me interested, but the SF 20 is not listed ob the referenced site.
