Anyone have a source for replacement chrome over brass or stainless strap lugs for m4 (or m2/m3) bride? I read that Leica isn’t producing replacement parts anymore but I have to imagine some 3rd party must be making them... Anyways, mine are pretty worn out on my m4 and looking to replace them.

A few years ago I had a beautiful M4 that needed an overhaul. Sherry at Golden Touch did the work. The body was in such good shape but the lugs were a little worn and she asked if I wanted her to replace the lugs with new original M4 lugs.

I would imagine she, Youxin Ye or DAG would be the go-to’s for a lug replacement, be it original types or the heavier-duty later steel-enforced for longer wear.

I contacted Youxin Ye last year about this very same issue for some lugs for my M2. He advised me that Leica no longer make them and the only company producing an alternative lug have been found to be brittle and not fit for purpose. He advised he could not help as he had no source of parts.

Similar story in the UK with Newton Ellis, unless I provide a donor camera.

I bought a Luigi case with built in strap instead.

They can be replaced with the currently produced steel lugs. It is very hard to tell the difference - and they're better lugs in every respect.

Youxin Ye can do it. Like many others here, I can recommend his work. It is listed on his price page.

Youxin is always pleasant and communicative. I've had no problem with his work so far. However, he seems to be taking more time as I sent him a Nikon RF lens for CLA received Jan 25 and nothing returned to date. Expect some delay even if job not complex or super time consuming.
