Leica Summilux Asph M 35mm f1.4 FLE Photos

It was a personal project centered on nomadic Gypsies- the genuine bunch, who live as coppersmiths for the people in western Romania.

They are very reluctant at first to let strangers approach them, but then, once you gain their confidence, they are really very warm and kind.
No, I did not have to give them money, but I did comission some tea pots etc by them

Viewing at full size ... it's Surprising to see the FLE soft in the corners. It would not bother me in a less expensive lens. ;)

I should try that shot again now that the FLE is correctly adjusted to the Monochrom (it was back focusing slightly before) :)

I'd been resisting, but recently caved in and bought the FLE. I love it! Here's one from a sunday night walk in my neighborhood:

Here's some shots of the Obon dancing at Kawasaki Daishi temple a few days ago, taken on Natura 1600 using Summilux FLE/Leica MP. The dancers danced until it started pouring down with rain and then a mad rush for cover ensued. The rain continued to pour down for an hour (35mm) and everyone got stuck where they ran too.
