Anyone got/used one of these?

What's it like in practice?

I believe it comes with 39 and 46 adapters. Are other adapters available (43)?

I guess it doesn't cover the E60 Summilux 75? 🙁

I have one and my only complaint is that I bought it new. Ouch!!

It has the 39 & 46 adaptors included and I think the 60 is an available option. In the feild it's very easy to use. Once connected to the adaptor you just line it up so that when the filter swings up it covers the vf. Rotate the filter until you are happy with the level of polarization, swing the filter back over the lens and then meter.

It takes three times as long to explain it as it does to use it.

I've always wondered, is it possible to attach this filter to the pre-aspherical 35/1.4 Summilux that normally uses a series 7 filter in its lens hood?

No, that lens hasn't a tread for filters. it does however takes the older A42 polariser. But it does vinget a bit then.

I have the universal polariser and it works very well. I also have a few step rings to use it on other lenses. I even used it a lot on the Mamiya C330. Now that I think of it, it should also work on the Bronica rf.

I have one. The widest-diameter lens I can use it on is a 90 with 55mm filter, and only because I made my own adaptor. The biggest one Leica makes is 49mm. Unless you keep an adaptor on every lens in your bag, changing the polarizer from one to the other is a colossal pain. I much prefer the older swinging polarizer, which is much smaller (the Universal in its case takes up more room in a bag than a lens) but unfortunately only fits 39mm lenses. It also clamps on and won't bottom out if the lens has a filter on it already. They work fine, within their limitations. Also even if these things fit, you have to be careful with lenses wider than 35mm because the hood will vignette.
